Acting as Construction Manager on behalf of the School District, Sampson Construction invites you to bid on the Logan-Magnolia Schools New Dome and Classroom Wing- Bid Package #2 (100% Contract Documents).  All scopes of work on the project are bidding in this package, with the exception of, work scopes previously bid in Bid Package #1 which were: Site grading, Site Utilities, Pre-engineered Metal Building supply (PEMB) Material, and Dome. 

The project consists of a new Dome/Commons area addition (approx. 31,000 sf), a new classroom addition with PEMB structure (approx. 5,000 sf), and interior remodel of science classrooms (approx. 4,800 sf).  The project is scheduled to begin in March 2023 with substantial completion in FALL 2024.

A pre-bid/site visit meeting is set for Tuesday February 21st, 2023 at 4:00 pm. 
Location will be at the existing school where the addition/remodel will occur.
Check-in at the administration office.

 

Proposals are due by Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 2pm.

Bidding Instructions:

Sealed proposals on the required bid form shall indicate the scope(s) of work being bid and  be addressed to Tom Ridder – Logan-Magnolia Community Schools and turned in by the  bid deadline to Logan-Magnolia Community Schools Administrative Office: 1200 North  2nd Avenue, Logan, IA 51546.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in amount of 5% of bid total.

Performance and payment bond covering 100% of the bid amount is required to be  included in the bid.  Check the box on the bid form to indicate bond is included.  

Bids not accompanied with a bid bond will NOT be opened and will not be considered.

All bids received on time shall be publicly read and recorded shortly after bid deadline  on March 9, 2023 at 2pm at Logan-Magnolia Community Schools Administrative

Additional bidding information including required bid form, bid scopes of work, project schedule, etc. will be issued in a forthcoming bid bulletin.

The Owner and the Construction Manager shall have the right to reject any or all bids, which are in any way incomplete or irregular, and to waive any informality in any proposal.  All bids shall remain in effect for thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.

By submitting a bid for this project, bidder agrees he has read the Sampson Construction Standard Subcontract Agreement and if bid is accepted, is willing to execute this Subcontract Agreement without material modification. Subcontractor to guarantee material pricing at the time of bid submission. All pricing must be firm and must account for uncertainty created by market conditions.
