2,450!
That is the number of books sent home with Logan-Magnolia students after our Book Blast fundraiser to build home libraries! A huge thank you to everyone who donated. There were so many smiling faces!

Third Grade has been learning about the different types of bridges in math. Students have put their knowledge into practice by building some beam bridges of their own.

We were thrilled to welcome Kendra Beckner last Friday for some enriching lessons on oil painting. Here are some photos from Mrs. Dunham's class. Thanks Kendra for sharing your creativity and expertise!

Logan Magnolia High School Biology students will be showcasing their learning at the annual Science Fair. Come out and experience their work on Thursday afternoon between 1:00 and 3:00.

From 3rd Grade: Lots of art adventures are happening with Missy Rowe within the school! On Wednesday, the kiddos had a BLAST learning about clay, shapes, and how to mold clay into a blooming flower. In third grade, these kiddos bloomed to be amazing humans and have grown so much academically. We have molded flowers to remind us of our hard work this year and are gifting them to someone special in our lives. We continue to be so grateful for our time with Missy. She repeatedly expresses how special and unique all of their creations are. Art is such a beautiful thing for our students to engage in as they expand their creative minds.

In guidance this week, students are discussing kindness in action. At the end of the lesson students share acts of kindness they could perform. At recess yesterday this group picked up trash without being asked on the playground! So proud of them for taking action!

Good luck to our Business Professionals of America members as they depart for Anaheim, California tomorrow morning to compete at the National BPA Leadership Conference. Ava Goldsmith, Marki Bertelsen, Grant Brix and Gavin Kiger will be competing in their nationally qualified events, attending the leadership conference and taking part in BPA tours while in California.
A huge thank you to the following local business sponsors that have so graciously helped to support this event:
Midwest Mechanical Industrial Services
Matt Rowe State Farm Insurance Agent
Brian Koenig - Koley Jessen Law Firm
Logan Kiwanis Club
Washington County Bank
Horizon Rehabilitation Center - Logan

Lo-Ma will be having its annual greenhouse sale starting today. The sale
will continue until supplies run out. We will be selling a variety of plants at great prices!

Today's track meet vs. Underwood has been canceled.

The Commons was the place to be for a fiesta on Wednesday! The Spanish Fair was a special collaboration between Mrs. Lopez's high school Spanish class and the Spanish class at West Harrison High School. We were pleased to welcome elementary classes for lessons on food, music, dance, geography, and art - all led by the older students. Check out a video of the activities here: https://youtu.be/CFK02KW0nx4

Congratulations to our two final Book Blast winners - there was one more treasure chest stuffed with cash and a brand new iPad! Thank you for being part of our adventure and congrats again to ALL our winners!

We were happy to have guest artist Missy Rowe join us today to teach students about warm and cool colors. Thank you for sharing your talents with a new generation of artists!
